Dogri Sanstha organizes Kavi Goshthi – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

JAMMU, May 26: Dogri Sanstha Jammu hosted a special Kavi Goshthi in which participating poets recited free verse poetry by prolific dogri writer and filmmaker Ved Rahi and their own free verse poems.
Poets and poetesses who have recited those of Ved Rahi and their own free verse poems in the Goshthi include Prof. Lalit Magotra, Promila Manhas, Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, Dr. Chanchal Bhasin, Raj Kumar Bahrupia, Pawan Verma and Kalpana Khajuria .
The Goshthi was chaired by Prof. Lalit Magotra, Chairman Dogri Sanstha Jammu, who said that every Dogra is proud of Ved Rahi because despite residing outside Jammu for so long, he was associated with the roots and serves the mother tongue with colossal contributions as a poet, short story writer, novelist and filmmaker as well.
The program was led by eminent writer and actor Rajeshwar Singh Raju’, who is also Secretary General Dogri Sanstha Jammu. While presenting a vote of thanks, he assured that Dogri Sanstha will continue to organize such moving and thought-provoking programs in the future as well.
Technical support for the program was provided by well-known dogri writer and theater activist Pawan Verma. The program was watched by thousands of people across India and abroad through Dogri Sanstha Jammu’s Facebook page.
