October 13, Riverdale Lili Reinhart (Betty Cooper) revealed that she’s been writing a lot of poetry lately and asked fans if she should publish another book of poetry.
Let’s go back.
For those who don’t know, Lili already published a collection of poems in a book called “Swimming Lessons” last year in September 2020. The poems were on themes such as young love, grief, anxiety and depression.
Many felt the poems were too simple and short, but overall “Swimming Lessons” received positive reviews.
Fast forward, and Lili took to Twitter to ask fans what platform she should use to share her new poems.

I “I’ve written a lot of poetry lately. I don’t know what would be the best platform to share it. Another book? Tumblr? Twitter?
So what did the fans say?
The majority of fans quickly voted for another book of poetry. As Lili already has experience in publishing a book, fans are excited to see how her poems have progressed and her potential for more depth.
I “I have 8 copies of swimming lessons and would gladly buy 8 more from another book of your poetry😂💗”
I “I’m so excited to read your poems, I really love having another book […] I really like reading your poetry […]”
I ” Delivered. I think it gives you the ability to control the narrative and for us bettors a terrific volume of poetry. “
These fans also pointed out that the books were more “personal and artistic” as opposed to social media which could potentially be “toxic” and open to “manipulation”.
I “Books are definitely a published book. Social media in general is toxic beyond imagination. A book is much more personal and artistic.”
I “book !! Twitter opens it up to people who don’t care / appreciate it and will laugh or criticize something they have absolutely no right to reprimand”
I “Twitter is fleeting and too easy to manipulate”
However, some fans are hoping that she will post the poems via social media, as more people would have access to them and allow more interactions, i.e. via comments, likes and shares.
Riverdale Season 6 will air on November 16, 2021.
