EDINBURGH, Texas – The public is invited to a “writers workshop” at the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library, hosted by local author/poet Daniel García Ordaz. El Zarape Press invites writers and artists to 4e Annual Talleres Huitzilopochtli – a full day of workshops and panel discussions on art, writing, the creative process and book publishing.

This event, to be held at the Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library in Edinburgh on Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., aims to bring together members of the local writing and publishing community, to foster the interaction and links leading to further opportunities for collaboration and publication. The main goal of the workshop is to empower the local writing community through networking opportunities, panel discussions, and best practices in writing, editing, and marketing pitches.

A market for authors will be set up on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited, so register early and attendees can showcase their work and sell their books.

This is a free in-person event and no registration is required, although seating is limited. For more information on this event, contact Jose Tamez at 956-383-6246. The library is located at 1906 South Closner Boulevard across from the historic Echo Hotel.
