Here is a list of upcoming programs at Racine Public Library:

Celebrate Computer Science Education Week. Kids can try their hand at coding using activities on the Hour of Code website.

Noodles & Company Techmobile Fundraising
December 7 | 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Noodles & Company, Mt. Pleasant Location, 5720 Washington Ave, Mt Pleasant, WI 53406
The Mt. Pleasant Noodles & Company is hosting a fundraising night for the Racine Public Library Techmobile. The library is raising funds to help fill the mobile library with books and technology. Noodles & Company will donate 25% of sales to the library for this cause. When ordering, please mention RPL fundraising, or if ordering online, please enter coupon code GIVING25.

The writers’ guild

Hello teens! Are you still writing your next story or writing a new poem? Come share what you’re working on (or not), sympathize with other writers, and work together on creative writing activities.

Virtual Family Story Time

Join us from your computer as we read you books the whole family can enjoy.

Musical story hour
thursdays | Sep 9 – Dec 16 | 10h | Youth Services Department (1st floor, lake side) and YouTube Live
Join us for music, movement and fun as we read (and sing) some of the most musical books in the library. All ages are welcome. No registration is required.

Friday first chapter
Fridays, Sept, 3-Dec. 17 | 13h | YouTube and Facebook
A friendly member of Racine Public Library staff reads the first chapter of one of their favorite books. Book selections range from children’s books to books for young adults.

Crafts for children
Saturdays | Sep 4 – Dec 18 | 10h | YouTube and Facebook
A youth services librarian shows you how to make something new out of the things you have at home.

Hour of code

The mission of the Racine Public Library is to improve the lives of people in the Racine community by embracing community diversity, promoting inclusion, creating opportunities and supporting the development of community literacy through the love of literature, learning and civic engagement. Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, the library first opened in 1897 and has served the community from its 75th Street location since 1958.
